At FormatShift (accessible from formatshift.online and formatshift.ru), user data privacy is our foundational principle. This Privacy Policy specifies the nature of technical data processed by FormatShift.

1. Technical Architecture & File Processing

The vast majority of FormatShift tools process files directly inside the user browser using client-side technologies (WebAssembly, WebGPU, Canvas, and Web Cryptography). Individual tools may utilize temporary server processing necessary to execute specific operations. Concrete processing terms are always documented on each respective tool page.

2. Cookies and Analytics

FormatShift uses necessary technical cookies to maintain service operations. Upon explicit user consent, analytical cookies (such as Yandex.Metrika) may process technical telemetry in accordance with service configurations. Analytics cookies are never loaded prior to affirmative user consent.

When arriving via partner links containing referral parameters, a partner attribution cookie (ref_partner) may be stored for up to 30 days to record referral attribution.

3. No Personal Data & No Email Collection

FormatShift does not collect, record, or store user Email addresses. Feedback and error reports submitted through on-site forms are processed anonymously without requesting or recording personal contact emails.
