Privacy Policy
At FormatShift, accessible from formatshift.online, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by FormatShift and how we use it.
1. General Information & Offline-first Processing
The service does not require registration and does not collect user files on the server. When using individual functions of the site, the operator may process a limited set of personal and technical data specified in this Policy.
All file processing (conversion, compression, editing, and signature operations) takes place locally in your browser using modern client-side technologies (WebAssembly and WebGPU). Your original files and document keys are never uploaded to any remote server.
2. Cookies and Web Analytics
Like any other website, FormatShift uses "cookies" to store information including visitors preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. We use Yandex.Metrika to analyze site usage and improve performance. These tools may collect metadata such as IP addresses, browser types, and referral URLs. All analyzed data is anonymous.
When transitioning via a partner link containing the "ref" parameter, the site may save a "ref_partner" cookie for up to 30 days to determine the source of transition and account for partner rewards.
3. Personally Identifiable Information
We do not collect any personal data unless you voluntarily provide it. When you use our feedback form, you may optionally provide your Email address. We use this email address strictly to contact you regarding your feedback or feature requests. We never sell, rent, or share your email addresses with third parties.
4. GDPR and CCPA Compliance
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under GDPR. You have the right to request access, rectification, or erasure of your email addresses stored by us. To exercise these rights, please contact us at igor@dzhaggernaut.ru.
5. Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
